Ebor Falls
Ebor Falls is a spectacular, multi-tiered waterfall set within Guy Fawkes River National Park, about an hour’s drive from Armidale. Easy walking tracks and several viewing platforms offer sweeping views of the upper and lower falls as they plunge into the gorge below. Oxley Wild Rivers National Park
Oxley Wild Rivers National Park (known locally as Blue Hole) includes deep gorges, wild rivers and dramatic waterfalls carved into the New England Tableland. Just a short drive from Armidale, the park offers walking tracks, lookouts and picnic spots with breathtaking views over the Macleay River system. Armidale Bicentennial Arboretum
The Armidale Bicentennial Arboretum is a peaceful green space showcasing native and exotic trees from cool-climate regions around the world. New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM)
The New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM) is home to one of Australia’s most significant regional art collections. Located a mere 8 minute walk from the Guesthouse, it features changing exhibitions, touring shows and works from renowned Australian artists. With a café on site and regular events, it’s a relaxed cultural stop to pair with a stroll through nearby parks and heritage streetscapes. The cafe is open Tuesday to Sunday from 8am to 2pm.
Armidale Central Park
Armidale Central Park is a leafy city park with wide lawns, mature trees and a charming band rotunda. Just a short walk from the main street, it’s a favourite spot for locals and visitors to enjoy a picnic, read a book or let the kids run around.
